IREB

The International Requirements Engineering Board (IREB) e. V. is an association of leading Requirements Engineering experts from business, consulting, research and science. They founded IREB in order to jointly standardize training in the field of Requirements Engineering and ultimately improve RE practice. This was the origin of the "Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering" (CPRE) certification program.

Since its foundation in 2006, IREB has developed into the world's leading expert body for the certification of professionals in the discipline of Requirements Engineering. Whether business analyst or software engineer, anyone who needs to formulate requirements for solutions will find the CPRE certification model to be the best basis for doing so - more than 88,500 examinations and over 69,800 certified individuals in 97 countries are proof of this.

The latest development of the International Requirements Engineering Board is the "Digital Design Professional" (DDP) certification program. It was developed in close cooperation with recognized experts from IT, product and industrial design and provides a professional basis for designing digital solutions from a holistic perspective. Business, people and technology are considered together and the digital is understood as a shapeable material.

With this qualification, which has been available as a DDP Foundation Level since June 2021, IREB is responding to the current requirements for digitalization and digital transformation. DDPs know how to make optimum use of the potential of digital technologies in order to launch purposeful innovations.
