Bertil is an experienced expert in the field of AI with an impressive professional career in research and development of AI technologies and their application in industry, particularly in requirements and systems engineering. In addition to numerous projects for renowned international high-tech companies, Bertil has been promoting the standardization of SysML and ReqIF in various committees for many years.

His comprehensive expertise spans all phases of product development, with a focus on the technological development of generative AI for solving automation use cases in engineering.

Bertil is Principal for AI Software Development and MBSE at HOOD. He has been enthusiastic about MBSE since he worked on modeling the base station of a satellite communication system in 2004.

He is the author of the OMG ReqIF standard, an OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional, a SysML v2 RFP contributor, and was part of the SysML Challenge team modeling the Extremely Large Telescope. As part of the BMWK-funded KIMBA research project, he is working on the development of assistants for generating models from natural language requirements.
