RM&E Trainings
The HOOD Requirements Management and Engineering Trainings split up in Method Trainings and in Tool Trainings.
All Trainings for Requirements Management Tools are only available as Inhouse Trainings on the customers site.
Requirements Management & Engineering RM&E - Methodology in the Automotive Industry
Method training – Two days
With ever increasing complexity of the systems and mounting requirements concerning cost, quality and development time we have to consider all possible potential improvements to our development processes, both for software and hardware development projects. In order to achieve higher quality products, clients demand higher quality development processes (e.g. CMMI level, (automotive) SPICE). In particular in the automotive branch extremely high demands are placed on the quality & security of the products to be developed. The central role of requirements within the system development process in the automotive industry is of particular significance. In this training course the participants learn how they can increase their efficiency when developing systems, software, services and products for the automotive industry by using Requirements Management and Engineering.
Goals:
- understand the role of requirements and specifications within product development,
- understand the importance of project-scoping and the identification of stakeholders,
- understand the difference between the problem domain and the solution domain,
- have acquired an introduction to modeling as a supporting technique for elicitation, specification and analysis,
- have learnt how to write requirements specifications with complete and non-contradictory requirements and to review system specifications,
- have learnt how to understand and manage iteration and the impact of change,
- be able to recognize the relationship between requirements and complimentary information.
Content:
The training course gives an introduction into the Requirements Engineering methodology and Requirements Management process and considers the importance of requirements within the entire development process:
- The concept of Requirements Management & Engineering
- The Requirements Definition Process
(Project-Scoping, Stakeholder, Elicitation, Specification, Modeling, Analysis, Review) - The importance of requirements as a basis for the contract between customer and supplier
