Workshop on Value-based Practices

We will show you how, with the successful use of object-orientated methods - value-based practices - the gaps in software development can be closed, from business processes to agile operations in daily work. We will also explain to you how you can harmonise and optimise your software development value chain.

In this workshop you will develop an approach for analysing your classic process descriptions. Then, with the guidance of an experienced HOOD trainer, you will define your value-based practices using an example. We will use your results to develop a design for process templates such as WITs (work item types), which are specifically tailored to your application lifecycle management (ALM) environment.

This approach is highly successful because, when it is rolled out in development environments, the exact content of the ALM artefacts can be agreed on. The level of autonomy in individual projects and the required/necessary contents from centralised functions (quality & process) are known and constant. Discussions are very constructive and acceptance of the new working/development environment increases significantly. At the same time, process conformance is retained.
