ReConf 2009 - Call for Papers

Munich, 5 May 2008:

From 9 to 12 March 2009 the Requirements Engineering Conference – REConf 2009 – takes place in Munich for the 8th time. The reknown symposium is one of the largest events in Europe in the domain of Requirements Management. The call for papers has just begun and continues till 15 September 2008.

The application of Requirements Management & Engineering (RM&E) is an essential component within large and multinational corporate groups for the successful development of complex products, services and systems. Industrial sectors such as aviation and space industry, telecommunication or automotive industry as well as IT have been benefiting for a long time by increased efficiency through application of RM& E methods.

This symposium is already taking place for the 8th time. The conference should offer more profound knowledge for those already using RM&E, as well as offer the opportunity to get information on methodology, success stories and obstacles during introduction, to those not yet familiar with the subject. The motto of the REConf 2009 is Requirements Management – an integrated component of system and software development!

The REConf is subdivided into two parts:  two workshop days on 9 and 12 March 2009 and two conference days on 10 and 11 March 2009, accompanied by an exhibition of tool manufacturers and service companies.  Already traditional is the long Night of the Sciences, which will again take place during the REConf 2009 during the night of 9 March 2009.  Thereby universities and other research institutions will give an account of the new trends in Requirements Management.

Following topics are in focus during the REConf 2009:

  1. Integration of requirements, project and risk management
  2. Interaction of requirements, variations, versions, deadlines and tests
  3. Interfaces of requirements management to modeling or testing
  4. Requirements management as partial discipline within a model of a process
  5. Use of tools for specific projects (these presentations may not be held by a tool manufacturer)
  6. Return on investment observation in requirements management
  7. Special problems and their solution in practical situations

We cordially invite all interested parties, to apply for a contribution to one of the above topics, which they will then present to the participants in a lecture during the conference or work on with a small group during the workshop.
